The Local Organising Committee are delighted to announce registration for the Australasian Neuroscience Society's 41st Annual Scientific Meeting (ANS 2023 Conference) is now open!

We are excited to be welcoming our members and guests to the the luxurious W Brisbane, a premier hotel with stunning views over the Brisbane River. The conference will kick off with casual welcome drinks on the Monday evening at the Living Room Bar, followed by a retro beach themed Welcome Party on the beautiful rooftops of W Brisbane, with live cooking stations and band entertainment, on the Wednesday evening.

Delegates are welcome to make their way down to the Living Room Bar for casual drinks. A small bar tab will be provided - delegates must show their name badge to recieve a drink on the bar tab. Please note, this is a public bar, and no space has been booked for the function.

EMCR x SBC Networking Event

EMCR and Student ANS Members are invited to register for the ANS Student-EMCR Networking Event during the Australasian Neuroscience Society 41st Annual Scientific Meeting. The networking event will be run as a mixer where attendees are asked to consider what “goal” they would like to achieve during the event: a) looking for a mentor/mentee b) looking for a job c) looking for a collaborator d) looking for career advice e) looking for a student

We have partnered with W Brisbane to offer our conference delegates a fixed rate for their stay in the Run of House King/Twin Rooms between 4 December to 6 December 2023 only.

Accommodation for the meeting can be booked through the online registration system.

Full prepayment for all accommodation bookings is required by 3 Novevmber 2023. Bookings not fully prepaid by this date risk being cancelled.

All changes and cancellations must be provided in writing to the ANS Conference Organisers by 2 November 2023. Guests may be charged for all or part of the booking if cancellation is received after this date.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or alterations must be put in writing to ANS Conference Organisers. If cancellation is received in writing:

  • Before 5 September 2023 – full refund of all monies paid.
  • Before 3 November 2023 – 50% of registration monies paid will be refunded.
  • After 3 November 2023 – No refund will be given.

Please note that any accommodation booking cancelled after 3 November 2023 is subject to 100% cancellation fees charged directly by the hotel.

Disclaimer of Liability

The Local Organising Committee, including the ANS Conference Organisers, will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss of or damage to their personal property as a result of the meeting or related events.
