Student Travel Awards

Sponsorship and encouragement of student participation in the annual Australasian Neuroscience Society (ANS) meetings was made a priority of the society as early as the 1982 Annual General Meeting. Student Travel Awards come in the form of a partial financial contribution towards the airfare costs for those students attending the Australasian Neuroscience Societies' (ANS) Annual Scientific Meeting. This is to enable as many eligible and worthy student members to attend the ANS annual meeting as possible.

The awards have been sponsored by ANS, industry, and supporting Universities. The ANS Council determines the amount of funding available for student travel awards annually and the size of the individual awards, which may vary from year to year. All eligible applicants will receive a travel award with the number of successful applicants therefore dictating the size of awards, which are scaled according to the distance to the Meeting location.

To be eligible to apply for a Student Travel Award, you must be an ANS Student Member. If you are not currently a Student Member and would like to become one, please click here to register for membership.
