Call for Abstracts

ANS 2018 Call for Abstracts is open!

You must register to attend the 2018 meeting before you are able to submit an abstract (oral or poster).

If you have already registered and would like to submit an abstract, please click the button below.


Multiple abstract submissions per person are allowed but registrants can give only one oral abstract presentation for the entire conference. 

Submissions are encouraged from across all research areas represented within the membership.  The research themes are as follows:

  • Development 
  • Neural Excitability, Synapses, and Gila
  • Neurodegenerative Disorders and Injury
  • Sensory systems
  • Motor systems
  • Integrative Physiology and Behaviour
  • Motivation and Emotion
  • Cognition
  • Neuroimaging and brain mapping
  • New techniques in neuroscience
  • Neuroengineering
  • Neuroethics
  • History and Education

The submission process for oral presentations will close at midnight, Friday 14 September 2018. No oral submissions will be accepted after this date, however amendments can be made to your submission up until the deadline. 

The poster submission process will close at midnight, Friday, 30 November 2018. In order for your poster details to be included in the final program book, please ensure you have completed your submission by Wednesday, 31 October.
