Satellite Meeting Applications - Now Open - NeuroAlliance 2026 Meeting
The Australian Neuroscience Society (ANS) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for official ANS Satellite Meetings to be held in conjunction with the NeuroAlliance 2026 meeting in Sydney. The Satellite Meeting Policy has been updated to expand incentives and making satellite partnerships more impactful than in previous years.
Key Changes and Updates for This Year:
- Introduction of a standardised ANS subsidy of $20 per satellite registrant, capped at $1,000, to directly reduce satellite registration costs. - A new additional subsidy of $30 per registrant for each satellite attendee who subsequently registers for the Neuro Alliance meeting using a satellite-specific code. - Satellite registrants are now explicitly eligible for a discount on full meeting registration (non‑early bird, non‑student) via a dedicated registration code. Satellite meetings must:
- Occur within three days before or after the main meeting, and - Be held in the same city or nearby location. - To avoid overlap with the ASM program, satellites may include no more than two international speakers already invited to the annual scientific meeting. As for previous years an online Expression of Interest (EOI) is mandatory and must be submitted and written approval from the ANS Conference Executive Chair (CEC) or Treasurer is required before the satellite meeting takes place. Post‑meeting reporting requirements have been clarified and standardised, including a scientific summary, final program, registrant list, and itemised financial documentation. Satellite funding is allocated to up to 5 satellite. The policy clearly states that multiple satellites with the same research focus will not be approved, improving diversity across satellite offerings. ANS encourages the submission of high‑quality satellite meeting proposals that align with ASM research themes and enhance the scientific value of the Annual Meeting.
